Losing streaks always make things seem worse than they really are, but there is no question things are not going well. In spite of a new roster and all sorts of entertainment at The Palace, fans are not coming to watch the Pistons. I think this is because the team's record is not better than it was last year; fans do not pay to watch losing teams play. // Las malas rachas siempre hace que las cosas parezcan peor de lo que en realidad son, pero no hay duda de que las cosas no van bien. I was born and raised in Michigan, and my parents were Pistons fans. It's as simple as that!
It isn't necessarily my first memory, but I'll share two quick stories. The first is when the Pistons won their first of their back-to-back championships. I was just a little kid, and my parents made me go to bed - the games were on very late. But, the first question I asked when I woke up was if the Pistons won, and they had!
The second is that I used to get really upset when the Pistons would lose. Because I was so used to them being good, I would literally cry when they would lose! // Nací y me crié en Michigan y mis padres eran

I think it would be better for the franchise if he retires, or if he's promoted to a role that is not directly responsible for roster management. It still seems more likely than not that the Pistons will have a losing record but still make the Playoffs.
The big question is if that will be good enough for Tom Gores. I think Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was a solid draft choice, and I'm happy with the way he is developing. I do not think that Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith are very good players, and they are definitely not good fits.
I think the Playoffs are very possible, but given that the Pistons are probably looking at a seven or eight seed at best, a first-round loss to Indiana or Miami is inevitable. // Creo que KCP fue una sólida elección del draft y estoy contento con como está evolucionando. I think Mo Cheeks' biggest failure so far is his inability to involve Greg Monroe in the offense and to let Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings lead the team in shot attempts. Greg is a very good offensive player; those other two are not. It should be an easy decision for a coach.
I don't think firing him solves anything. The Pistons have fired too many coaches in the last several years. But, I'm definitely not happy with how he's managed shot distribution.
I'm not sure about Lionel Hollins. He was very unhappy when Rudy Gay was traded, but the team actually improved. That doesn't make me confident about him. // Creo que el mayor error de

Yes, he should get the maximum or very close to it coming off of his rookie contract. After that, I'm not sure. He's obviously not as good as "max" players like LeBron and Dwight Howard, and I'm not sure he will ever be worth that kind of money. But a max contract after a rookie season is quite a bit smaller, and he'll be worth that. // Sí. Debería obtener el máximo o cerca viniendo de su contrato Rookie. Después de eso no estoy seguro.
